Wall colour choice for kitchen

Lister/dörrar/fönster : Lister, dorrar och fönster er en ukent hvit nuance

I would like some ideas/advice for choosing wall colour for my kitchen. The cabinets will be IKEA Havstorp beige (S3005-Y20R) and the floor will be marmoleum Rosemary green (S5010-G70Y). I would like a green, but not sure if this will work with the green floor? The room is 10 m2, so relatively small, and there is a large window facing north. If you have suggestions for other colours to make the room more interesting, they would be much appreciated. However, not a white as I find this to bland, I could consider a beige, but would probably prefer something a bit more colourfull. Painting one wall another colour than the rest, could also be a possibility if you have advice on this.

Hi,

I am happy to help you but here I would need a little more information for you to get the best help from me as possible. What colour code (ncs) do you have on your white details such as windows, doors and woodwork, if all these details are not to be repainted? This affects which other colours will be good and how you will experience the end-result. The easiest way to find out what white color (if white) these details have is to borrow color samples of the most common whites, S0500-N and S0502-Y, and compare.

Please come back with this and a floorplan and colours in other rooms.

The doors and woodwork are colour code S0502-Y and the windows are RAL 9010. The ceiling will be repainted, in a white colour (would like advice for this also). The other rooms are white S0500-N - they were painted this colour when I bought the house. I will soon need to repaint in the hallway, so if you have a recommendation for a white/neutral colour for the hallway, please let me know. One wall in the living room/stue is an ochre colour that I don't know the code for, but looks a lot like Jotun 12124 Natural clay. The floors in the rest of the house are oak, but as mentioned will be rosemary green in the new kitchen.

Hi,

The best thing is if everything that should be white, ceilings, windows, doors and other white details or white walls, is painted in the same white color. If you mix different white tones, they tend to reinforce each other's differences. For example, warmer white details are perceived as a little more yellow than they really are when you see them together with chalk white details that can then get a bluewhitish tone.

So, if you have a warmer colour lika S0502-Y on all your white detail in the house the best thing is to continue with this white.
