Hello again! We are considering painting the walls in our living room. The new color has to look good with the wallpaper, floor and fireplace and also preferably not crash with kokos in the nearby room. If necessary for finding a good palette we can consider to paint the fireplace (which is by the way painted in the greyish purple color burned sand from Pure and Original). The little red desk is painted in kilim. The rest of the interior details you dont have to consider. On the pictures i include a panel painted in washed linen just to give you a sense of the colors in the room. For the walls im thinking about a warm grey color..something like the greys in the big picture hanging on the wallpaper wall. What do u think? I am open for any other color though.

Ps! It doesn't have to be like the greys in the picture of the man and woman. I regret writing that, as i dont want to limit your ideas☺️

The best thing is to decide the colours in the kitchen before going on to the next room.

Hi! I would really like to decide the color in this room before i decide in the kitchen, as i imagine this room is the less flexible when it comes to wall colors😊 Could you please suggest A) a color for the wall with the fireplace staying in its current color, and B) both a new color for the wall and a new color for the fireplace. Im considering painting everything in order to make the color palette better compliment the floor. Would you also suggest that i paint the white Manila dresser? Maybe black? Ps! The color of the ceiling in the staircase is Structure and the wall color in the nearby room is kokos. The big white and grey poster of the kissing couple will stay. The big bonsai tree and zebra chair will not stay.

Ok, please have a look at LADY 12125 Impression, LADY 11173 Humble Yellow, LADY 12120 Desert Pink or LADY 12083 Devine.
These colours will go well with the floor I think. You could either let the fireplace stay as it is or paint it in the same colour as the wall.
Please note that you can only paint the fireplace if it's no warmer than that you can hold a hand against it.

Thank you! We like your suggestion on impression, but as an alternative could you please also suggest awall color(s) in beige/grey/greige. The right corner of the wallpaper (to the right of the dresser) has a cold light, so keep in mind that the wall color will appear a little colder here. Another question, what color should we paint the white Manila dresser? The color should also go well with the current wall color. I was thinking about sand, what do you think?

Hi again,
The most harmonious thing when coloring in a gray and beige color scale is to choose colors with approximately the same redness/yellowness (color tone). If you paint a surface/room in a warmer beige along with another surface/room in a more gray tone, the gray surface tends to be perceived as colder than it actually is and the beige surface becomes yellower.
I find the wallpaper and the fireplace a bit grey. However sins the floor has a very warm tone och you also have LADY 1931 Kokos in an adjoining room you would need a warmer ton also in this room. By painting the walls in a more colorful colour like the ones I sugested, you don't have to paint the fireplace.
If you prefer a mor neutral colour have a look att LADY 12075 Soothing Beige, LADY 10678 Space, LADY 1140 Sand or LADY 1016 Blek Sand. In this case its better if you also paint the fireplace in the same colour as the walls. Mind that your can only paint the fireplace if it is not warmer than that you can hold your hand on it, when lit.
Please test the colours before using.

Thank you for the helpful explanation and for color advices. I will consider these colors I can see what you are saying about the fireplace and wallpaper being a little grey. If i choose to keep the fireplace as is, then what about about a grey color on the wall? A dark or mid dark warm grey? And if i choose to keep everything as is today, but want to paint the Manila dresser then in what color should i paint the dresser? Maybe just black?

If you chose to keep the fireplace as it is, grey, it's better to chose a more colorful colour to create som contrast between the fireplace and your other adjoyning rooms, like the varmer reds I earlier mentioned.
You could also paint the wall in green, like for ex LADY 8302 Lagerträd, LADY 8575 Natural Green or LADY 8493 Green Tea.
If you just paint the dresser the green and red colours mentioned could work.
