How to paint my walls + mouldings / wainscotting

Hello! I have purchased an apartment built in the 1900's that has historical details along the walls and at the ceilings, in the form of wainscotting and plaster work. The way it is painted now is traditional, with the wood work + plaster painted in white, and contrasting gray on the walls. But I find this look a little too formal / busy, especially in the living room, and am considering something more harmonious and modern -- potentially with one color that is used across wainscotting and walls (also called "color drenching"). Do you recommend this, or will it look wrong ? Where should the color stop and start? I havent chosen the color yet; it could be 8303 WHITE HEATHER, or 0471 LIGHT ANTIQUE, or 1624 EASE. I am also attaching an example of a room i really like, for reference.

Hi,
I am happy to help you but here I would need some more information so that you get the best answer from me as possible. What color code (ncs) do you have on your white details such as windows, doors and carpentry, if not all of these details are to be repainted? It affects what other colors will be good and how you will experience the end result. The easiest way to find out what white color (if white) these details have is to borrow color samples of the most common whites, S0500-N and S0502-Y, and compare.

Thanks so much for your reply! I will be repainting everything, including the ceiling, doors and carpentry, so it is up to me to choose the new shades of white :)

Hello! Yes, I will be repainting everything. I haven't chosen the color for the kitchen cabinets; I will decide on something that coordinates best with the living room walls, likely a beige tone. For the living room windows, I plan to paint the windows the same color as the walls; see the attached image for reference.
