Hello there, I am building a new house in Thailand where there a lots of light and heat. The rainy season is around 3 months. My house is a north facing house. Attached please find my house photos and the photos with coloring. I like a house not in white and yellow. Right now, I am thinking of using 7043 REFLEKS, 1638 HORISONT, 1378 Kontur for wall as attached photos no.1-4. Not sure if these color paints shade are suit each other and will they be good for a lot of light area? Also, what I couldn't make a decision are the below lists. - The front door in the photo no.1 is a dark brown color in RGB 82,60,50. Will this brown shade is suitable with the wall colors? Actually, there are several colors from the door company as attached. I'm open for the change. - Accent walls at the front of the house and around the house as attached photos no. 1 - 4. Right now in the photo, I am using 12179 Embrace. But I am not sure if I should use 1133 Mito or 1132 Sahara Sand or other colors that will suit the other wall colors. the color that is not too dull and dark. - Eaves and ceiling at the house area are made from fiber cement as attached photo. Which color would you suggest? - Fence: In the photo, I use the the fence brick wall as same color as the house wall in 7043 REFLEKS. Will it be too light? As the fence may get dirty from soil easily. At first I thought of 1259 Rusty. but not sure if it will suit with the house accent wall. Also, the top part of the fence brick wall is a expanded metal. What color would you advise? Sould it be the same color as the fence brick color or different color? - Window moulding: Will 9918 KLASSISK VIT is the good choice for white aluminum window in S 0500-N? or should it be a darker color? - Hand rail: In fron of the house has a metal hand rail. Your kind and expert advise would be much appreicated. thank you very much in advance for your help.
Hi
I need som further information in order to help you.
What är the colourcodes, in ncs or RAL or Jotun colournr for the windows, doors and garagedoor?
The white aluminum window code is S 0500-N or 05-A5 as attached photos. This color code is Jotun color code.
This is the link of the Jotun color code for the white aluminium window frame .https://gdn.colourcloud.net/inspire/share/EA9m9ce2R
For door color code, it's from our local paint company named TOA paint. They provide RGB, CMYK and Hex code. I have attached the door color code in jpg file. Not sure if those codes are sufficient for you. Please let me know. Thank you very much in advance.
Hi,
Thank you. I think your house would look good in LADY 20118 Amber Red and JOTUN 0343 Antikkvit on the facade with the Brown door. The ground can be in JOTUN 11130 Shade or LADY 1145 Band Stone.
Please try out the colours before using them, to se how the look together in your environment.
Please get advice from your loacal Jotun- retailer for the best produkt for your climate.
Hello Annika, Thanks a lot for your kind expert advice. I have revised the color as your suggestion as the feature wall in 20118 amber red, 0343 Antikkvit on the facade with the Brown door and choose 11130 Shade for the ground color as revised photo no 1-revised - 4-revised for your reference. Just in case I misunderstood anything. May I also confirm with you as listed below? - the window molding in photos 3-4 revised still use 9918 Classic White? - What color would be best for the ceiling color? Will 1109 Lighting suit with other colors? Also, should the eave color be 20118 Amber red or should it be dark grey as same as the roof color? - What color would be best for the handrail in front of the brown door? - The fence concrete color, should I still keep it as 7043 Reflex? Or should I use 1259 Rusty instead? Thank you so much.
Here I also attached the ceiling and eave photo for your reference. In the photo, I use 20116 amber Red for the eave and 1109 Lighting for the ceiling.
Hello Annika, I hope you had a great holiday and rest. We were in the rainy season for months. Today, It's a bright and hot sunny day. So, I have tested the paints with the light again. 20118 amber red and 0343 Antikkvit looks great. However, on a bright sunny day, the blue/green hint of 7043 Reflex has faded away and only looks like a white color. It did look great on a cloudy day indeed. Therefore, I would like your kind advice for the darker shade of 7043 Reflex or any suitable color that will work best with the other 2 colors, please. Will color in LRV around 50 work well? I think 7043 Reflex may look great for my interior. Should I raise another request on the interior color advice page? Or do you prefer to keep the dialog on this topic? Kindly let me know. Thank you and best regards, Suporn
Hi again.
You missunderstood me. I think it is better on the house if you stay with only two colours on the house, like for example Amber Red and Antikkvit, as I sugested in my previous reply. If you ad too many colours it will be an uncalmed and kind of messy look, in my opion.
As for the white details in aliminium a good colour could på RAL9010.
Please test the colours before using them.
Dear Annika, Thank you for your time and thank you for correcting me. I have removed 7043 Reflex from my exterior color palette and tested Antikkvit around the house. Antikkvit is very beautiful when there is less light. But with lots of sunlight, it looks creamy and a bit yellow. Could you possibly advise the darker color with less yellow than Antikkvit, please? I would like to compare it with Antikkvit. Also, will 9918 classic white suit Antikkvit and Amber red for the white detail around the house? I would like to have 2 tone colors in the garage area as shown in the attached photo. For the concrete fence in front of the house, I am thinking of using Amber red. What do you think? Will it be too much of a contrast color? I am open to alternative colors. Thank you very much in advance. Best regards, Suporn
Hi
If JOTUN 0343 Antikkvit is too white and too yellow, please have a look at JOTUN 1137 Sjösand or 2509 Ljus Kvarts together wiht LADY 20118 Amber Red. The wall can be in the same lighter colour that your chose to the fasad.
Please test the colours before using.
Dear Annika, Thank you very much for your kind advice. After testing the colors, I like 2509 Ljus Kvarts with 20118 Amber Red and 11130 Shade. Now, I come to the fence part, the bottom part is the concrete fence and the top will be metal as attached previous photos. I have looked into Jotun 12181 Soft Comfort for the fence concrete part, but I feel it is a bit dark. So I come here to ask for your kind advice again. Which color would you think will work best with my fence both concrete and metal parts? I have also attached the inspiration fence color from Jotun website. I don't know what the color code is. Do you think it will look good with my house? Your kind advice is much appreciated as always. Best regards, Suporn
Hi
Please have a look at 2499 Delikat or 1359 Macchiato.
Test the colours before using.
Hi Annika, According to your kind advice, patience, and guidance, here are the exterior wall colors that I have chosen. They are 2509 Ljus Kvarts with 20118 Amber Red, 11130 Shade, and 1359 MACCHIATO for the fence. For everything that needs to be white, will 9918 Classic White work harmoniously with these colors? For the metal part, the handrail in front of the entrance door and fence gate will be in black. What do you think? Thank you.
Hi
You need to test the colours on a bigger surface to see how the colours work on your house, in your surrondings.
Dear Annika, I’d like to update you on the exterior wall colors of my house. Please find attached photos for reference. We’ve just completed the first round of painting. The walls are painted in Jotun 2509 Ljus Kvarts, with Jotun 20118 Amber Red as an accent—which I absolutely love. The ceiling and eaves are painted in Jotun 9918 Morning Fog. For the foundation wall, where we initially painted Jotun 2509 Ljus Kvarts, we plan to use Jotun 11130 Shade, but we’ll begin that after finishing the garage floor tiles. We are also about to install the railing on the front balcony, as shown in the reference photo. What paint color would you recommend to harmonize with Jotun 2509 Ljus Kvarts and Jotun 20118 Amber Red? Do you think Jotun 9918 Morning Fog would work well? Additionally, our laundry area at the back of the house is painted in Jotun 20118 Amber Red. Do you think we should extend this color to the upper part as well? Currently, it is painted in Jotun 2509 Ljus Kvarts. I’d love to hear your thoughts! Best regards, Suporn
Also, we are about to install two shoe cabinet doors at the front of the house, located between the dark brown entrance door (RGB 82, 60, 50). Please see the attached photo highlighting the red areas. The cabinet door frame will be white aluminum in S 0500-N 05-A5, which matches the window frame color. What color would you recommend for the shoe cabinet doors to complement these elements and maintain harmony with the overall exterior color scheme? Best regards, Suporn
Hi again,
The house looks lovely.
If your frontdoor and windows are in panted in LADY 9918 Klassisk Vit (S0500-N) then I think railing could be in the same whit.
About your question regarding the washingarea, I'm unsure of what you mean. Could specify your question a little bit?
Regarding the shoecabinet, I think the best and most elegant way is to paint the cabinet in the samt colour as the fasad in the place were the cabinet is. Paint the cabinet, if wood, with DEMIDEKK Infinity Details.
Regarding the shoe cabinet, the front door is dark brown (RGB 82, 60, 50). My front door are in between the two shoe cabinets. The wall beside the front door is painted in 2509 Ljus Kvarts. Do you mean that the doors of my shoe cabinets should be in 20118 Amber Red? Regarding the rail, as the front door is dark brown (RGB 82, 60, 50) and window frame is LADY 9918 Klassisk Vit. Should the rail be LADY 9918 Klassisk Vit? Best regards, Suporn
Hi again,
Regarding the shoecabinet, I think the best and most elegant way is to paint the cabinet in the samt colour as the fasad in the place were the cabinet is. If its painted in Amber Red you could paint the shoecabinets in AmberRed. If the wall is painted in Ljus Granit you could pan the shoecabinet in Ljus Granit. Paint the cabinet, if wood, with DEMIDEKK Infinity Details.
Please look at LADY 9918 Klassisk Vit for the railing.
I hope you’re doing well. Thank you Annika for the previouse responses. I’m currently considering a color for my concrete fence and would appreciate your advice. The painters have already applied the primer to the concrete fence. The metal mesh fence is dark gray with white accents. Given this, I’d like to choose a color that complements the overall aesthetic of my home. Do you think Jotun 2499 Delikat would be a suitable choice? For reference, my exterior walls are painted in Jotun 2509 Light Quartz and 20118 Amber Red. I’d love to hear your recommendations on suitable color options that would enhance the look while maintaining harmony with the existing elements. Looking forward to your expert advice. Best regards, Suporn
Here’s a brief overview of my fence around my house requirements and preferences: • Location: In front of the house are rice fields which will be bright green during the season. • Concern: With the rainy season approaching, I want to choose a color that will maintain a clean, fresh look, while also concealing any mud or dirt that may splash onto the fence. I’m leaning toward a medium-toned color that’s not too light or dark. Some tones I’ve been considering are: • Grayish-green • Beige-gray • Muted green i.e. Jotun 7163 Minty Breeze. I’m concerned that a light shade like Jotun 2499 Delikat may be too light for the purpose, as it could show dirt too easily. What do you think? I’d love your input on whether colors like grayish-green, beige-gray, or muted green are suitable. If you could recommend Jotun colors that would fit these criteria, I’d appreciate it. Thank you so much. Best regards, Suporn
Hi
Please look at JOTUN 2499 Delikat or 2201 Linneväv.
Test the colours before using.
