Hello, I am struggling to find the right colours for our apartment. We are hoping to have a calacatta marble stone top in the kitchen and had been looking at silke 0486 as the wall colour, however, I felt it was a little too grey. I tried Kokos 1931 but that appears too dark in the living areas facing east in Sweden. I tried 1625 soul for the living areas but it looked too yellow. Is there a colour you would recommend that is slightly lighter than kokos 1931 but has less yellow and will go with egg white snickeri? Kokos and Vit te 1876 were the best matches for the bedrooms facing west. We already have some egg white 1001 for the snickeri and were therefore hoping to continue with that. We are open to other colours though for the snickeri. I have tried close to 10 samples now and have not found one.

I will be happy to help you if you have the opportunity to check and come back with what color code (ncs) your white details such as doors, windows, moldings and kitchen doors have, if not all these details are to be painted, that would be great? It affects which other colors will be nice and how you will experience the end result. The easiest way to find out is to borrow color samples of the most common whites, S0500-N and S0502-Y, and which of these comes closest to your white details. Then come back with this and a floor plan and I will help you further with a color plan.

Thank you! We will repaint all of the doors, moldings, windows and kitchen doors. So we are really open to any neutral/warm/light colours. Lighter in the living areas and darker in the bedrooms

I was also thinking kokos 1931 in the bathrooms

Hi,
The best thing is if you paint everything that should be white - walls, ceiling, windows, doors and joinery, in the same white colour. Then it looks white. If you mix different white colors, they tend to reinforce each other's differences. So, for example, warmer whites are often perceived as a little yellower than they actually are when paired with whiter whites, which can also get a blue tint when paired with warmer whites.
Further more. When you want to color an entire home, it is usually best to start with the kitchen/living room. After that, it will be easier to find suitable colors for the other rooms. It becomes easily overpowering otherwise.
If your woodwork is already in LADY 1001 Eggvit, have a look at LADY 1931 Kokos, LADY 10678 Space, LADY 1875 Sans or LADY 1832 Skandinaviskt Ljus for the kitchen cabinets. If you want really light walls, paint them in LADY 1001 Eggvit, since your woodwork are in that white colour.
If you decide ton repaint all windows, doors, woodwork and ceilings in LADY 1624 Lätthet it's better if the walls is painted in LADY 1624 Lätthet as well.
Test paint on large pieces of paper that you can move around and see how the colors turn out in different places in the room, in different lights. Please come back here with how the colours look in your light.
For matt and beautiful walls, paint with LADY Pure Color, LADY Essence, New LADY Wonderwall or LADY Balance. Wooden details such as panels, moldings, windows, doors, frames, kitchen cabinets and furniture are painted with LADY Supreme Finish. It is available in the gloss grades Pure Matt, Silk Matt, Half Glossy and Super Glossy. The ceilings are painted with LADY Interior Finish if it is a wooden ceiling and with LADY Perfection if it is a smooth ceiling

Thank you very much for all of your help! Would Egg White 1001 on the walls and snickeri as well as a light colour you mentioned above for the kitchen cabinets flow well with a carrara stone for the kitchen or would it be better to choose a Taj Mahal/beige colour for the stone top?

You need to see the colours with the different countertops in your own light to see which goes best with what:)

Hi Annika, thanks for your help. I’ve chosen egg white 1001 for the snickeri and walls in the living areas and hall and Kokos 1931 for the master bedroom. Do you have a light blue colour recommendation for one of the children’s bedrooms?

Have a look at LADY 6351 Tender Green, LADY 5200 Dusky Blue or LADY 4894 Ocean Air.

LADY 0486 Silke is much better with whiter whites, like LADY 9918 Klassisk Vit on the woodwork.
If your like Silke, try LADY 1832 Skandinaviskt Ljus or LADY 1875 Sans instead. They are better with warmer whites.
Please test the colours before using.
