Hello again, thank you very much for your kind advice on the exterior wall. Right now, I need your help with kitchen wall and kitchen cabinet colors. The kitchen is adjacent to the dining room as marked in brown color in the attached floor plan. The kitchen size is 4*5 meters with 3 meter height and has 3 windows. One window in the north near the kitchen sink can see 2509 Lys Kvarts walls from outside. Another window can see dining room and living room which I haven't chosen the color yet and see the entrance brown door in RGB (82,60,50). The Kitchen is limitation with natural light. It will get some light in the afternoon from the smaller window in the east. So we will rely on the artificial light which is LED panel in daylight temperature. Kitchen windows and door are white aluminum in S 0500-N 05-A5 as link here https://gdn.colourcloud.net/inspire/share/EA9m9ce2R. The kitchen countertop is L shaped and used marble grey tile which closed to Jotun 9911 (I think). Please find attached photos compared the tile with Jotun color chart for your reference. The 2 walls above countertop also use the same tile. The Kitchen appliances are mostly black and grey. Kitchen counter door is light beech. Kitchen floor is beech as in the attached moodboard. Another wall on the right-hand side is a brick cabinet in 190 cm height which I need your help with the color choices as well. I try to avoid white and colors with yellow undertone in the kitchen. I already tried Jotun 1928 and 0486 but they still look white and Jotun 1931 looks a bit yellow to me. What Jotun wall and cabinet colors do you think will suit my kitchen? Colors that will be timeless, feel fresh and give energy to cook in the kitchen. Will 7043 Reflex looks good? Or should I go for a bit colorful colors like 8596 SUNNY GREEN in NUANCES or any blue-green-gray color? I am open your kind expertist advices as always. Not sure if this info will be related or not. We will do a heavy cook for dinner. My 4.5-year-old daughter also loves to bake with me during the weekends. So We will spend at least 2-3 hours daily in this kitchen.

In our old house, we have friends gathering for lunch or dinner. And sometimes my daughter's friends come for baking and playing on weekends. So we do use the kitchen a lot.

Hello Annika, Thank you for your response. For kitchen, at first I thought about Jotun 1376. But together with grey tiles, I am hesitating if it will feel boring or sad in the kitchen. Maybe we could add a bit of color like grey with blue/green undertone or light muted blue/green but not the bright pastel one. I think about 7043 Reflex, 8596 SUNNY GREEN, 7555 Soft Mint, 6167 SPRING BREEZE. Will it suit with my exterior color in Jotun 2509 Lys Kvarts which we can see from the kitchen window. Appreciate your kind advice as always. Dining room and living room are adjacent to the kitchen. I think the color should be neutral color. Thank you very much in advance and best regards, Suporn

Yes, please try LADY 7718 Secret Green, LADY 6253 Sea Mist or LADY 7626 Airy Green if you want more colour. Otherwise, you could try LADY 0486 Silke, LADY 0471 Lys Antik, LADY 1376 Froströk, LADY 1622 Reflektion or LADY 10579 Complexion.
Please test the colours before using.

Hello Annika, thank you so much for the color choices. I have tested paint colors and I like the 6253 Sea Mist color. I also do the 3D color for your kind reference. My question is, if the kitchen wall color is 6253 Sea Mist, what should the kitchen cabinet color be? Should it be the same color as the wall, or grey as other furniture in the kitchen, or beech color as the floor? I'm unsure which color will be the right option in my case. The dining room, hall, and living room are an open space area as marked in brown color in the floor plan. The ceiling has a 3-meter height. The dining room and hall will get limited natural light. The living room will get some light in the morning from the west window. Hall 2 area will also get natural light from the back door to the laundry area. Please find attached the dining room, hall, and living room 3d colors for your reference. What paint color in the open space would be harmonious with the kitchen 6253 Sea Mist and grey colors? I try to avoid white color as I have a small kid and I don't like the paint color to look yellowish. Do you think a neutral color will make a room look cozy and relaxed? In the attached 3D, I use 1376 Frostrøyk as an open-space wall color. But I haven't tested it yet if it will look yellow or not. There is also a cabinet in the dining room and bookshelves in the living room which need to be painted. Should these cabinets and bookshelves be the same color as the kitchen cabinet or they can be in different colors as they are in different room? But I think the cabinets in the hall should be a little bit darker than the wall color. What do you think? Your kind advice on the color choices are much appreciated as always. Sorry again, the kitchen cabinet won't have the door. But the bookshelve and cabinet in dinning and living area will have doors.

Hello Annika, the L-shape kitchen counter has doors in beech. But the brick cabinet on the left hand side near the kitchen entrance door doesn't have a door. Here I have marked the cabinet in red circle that I would like to ask for your advice in the color. I also attached the original kitchen 3d before I added the 6253 Sea Mist.

Thank you. Look at the colours LADY 12075 Soothing Beige, LADY 10678 Space, LADY 12123 Contemporary White or LADY 12314 Grey Touch for the kitchen cabinets if walls are in LADY 6253 Sea Mist.

Hi Annika, Kitchen walls are in Jotun 6253 Sea Mist, I am hesitating between Jotun 12075 Soothing Beige and Jotun 10678 Space. Maybe I choose the 12075 Soothing Beige as it is a bit darker than 10678 Space. What do you think? Which color do you like best? Best regards. Suporn

I think LADY 10678 Space might be a better choice since the tiles are a bit grey but you have to test the colours to how the work in your light.

Hi, This color choice is easy to make a decision. I used to test these 2 colors before. The 0486 Silke looks more yellowish and brighter than the 1376 Froströk. I like the 1376 Froströk for the open area. For the bookshelves and cabinet doors in the open area, I will use the LADY 10678 Space as same as the kitchen cabinet. So it can be harmonious. What do you think? I'm open for your suggestion. One more question please. At the back of the house is the laundry area (Please see the floor plan and the moldboard). If we look from the outside, we will see the 20118 Amber Red wall first then the inner wall in the laundry. Should I continue to use the 2509 LYS KVARTS as it's the general exterior wall color or should the color be changed to another color? When we are in the hall 2 area (as attached floor plan), we will see the laundry wall color as well.

If you chose LADY 1376 Froströk for the open area inside the house it can be nice if bookshelves are in LADY 10678 Space but you have to test the colours in the house to se how they work together in your light.
Regarding the laundryroom I can´t see were it's situated and how big windows you have in this room.
If you har normal or small window you can chose colours that matches your other interior colours.

Dear Annika, the laundry is at the back of the house in the south (pink area in the moodboard). The laundry area is a semi-outdoor. There is no closed window, but we will install the expanded metal around the laundry walls as in the orange area in the attached file.

Hello Annika, The Open area walls in the house will be Jotun 1376 Frost Smoke. I am wondering if the walkway passage in front of playroom, my bedroom and guestroom should be the same color as the OpenSpace area which is 1376 Frost Smoke orshould it be lighter color? The walkway has a tiny window at shower room at the end of the walkway which may not get much light. Floor tile in beech and room doors in grey as same as the Open space. area. Your kind advice is greatly appreciated as always. Thank you

Hello again, I would like to ask for your advice on paint colors for walls in guestroom, my bedroom and my 5 year-old daughter playroom please. Right now, we are going to install the boards between these rooms. All rooms slide doors are light grey in RGB 173,178,183 as attached moodboard. The walkway in front of the rooms color is Jotun 1376 FROSTRØYK with light beech floor tile. Each rooms is 3x3.5 meters with 3-meter height. with 1 white aluminum window (S 0500-N 05-A5) facing south. The light will come into each room only in the afternoon (PM time). I'm planing to paint all 3 room ceilings in 9918 Morning Fog as same as ceiling in the open area and the walkway outside the rooms to save some costs. What do you think? The guest room floor is an engineering wood in oak-walnut kind of color. Please see the mood board. I like the Jotun 1016 Pale Sand as the headboard wall. For other 3 walls, could you possibly advise the light neutral color or off-white with a grey or blue or green hint that doesn't look yellow please? I've tried the Jotun 1376 FROSTRØYK but it looks yellow in the afternoon light. I also have a paint sample of Jotun 1109 that I would like to paint at the top of all 4 walls (as in moodboard). Will it suit 1016 Pale Sand ? Which paint option in the moodboard do you like? My bedroom floor is a laminate floor in light grey. Will 8281 Pale Linden look good with light grey floor? Or other beautiful blue or green with grey hints you think would be better? I like the paint option 3 in the moodboard. My husband would like at least 1 wall in the room in light color as he may turn the room as a theater so he will use that wall as a projector screen. If this light wall can be the same color as in guest room would be best. For my 5-year-old daughter's playroom. There will be a cream mat, lots of toys and bookshelves in many colors like orange, green, brown and purple. (My husband bought the bookshelves from different times and places. So, they are not in the same color). My daughter also would like to have rainbow and mountains and other cartoons in her room (as in the inspiration photos in the moodboard). Could you possibly suggest the light background paint color for the playroom walls which doesn't turn yellow please? I haven't decided how many cartoons or pictures we would like to draw on the walls yet. It will be after we paint the background walls. But we will definitely use the leftover paints from the house to save our costs such as LADY 10678 Space, LADY 6253 Sea Mist, LADY 7626 Airy Green, 1016 Pale Sand, 1109 Lighting, 2509 LIGHT QUARTZ, 20118 Amber Red, 1359 MACCHIATO, 11130 Shade. I'm not sure what colourcode the sliding doors have but they look a bit grey. Do you have a ncs- or RAL-code?
If you have grey doors and a warmer tone on the walls lik LADY 1376 Froströk and LADY 1016 Blek Sand, the doors will end up looking greyblue-ish and Froströk and Blek Sand will look mor yellow.
Do you have the option to change the colours on the doors?

Hi Annika, The grey door color is in #adb2b7 (RGB 173,178,1183). The Upvc door has 4 colors which are white, grey, cream and oak color as attached. But we try to avoie a white door as it will get dirty easily. My entrace door house is also in dark brown color RGB 82,60,50.

Hi, I only have the hex code of the grey door which is in #adb2b7 (RGB 173,178,1183). I have attached the dark brown (oak) door color from the catalog. I think the nice color are either grey or oak.

The light will come into the room only in the afternoon (PM time). I'm planning to paint the ceilings in 9918 Morning Fog as same as ceiling in the open area and the walkway outside the rooms. The walkway in front of the rooms color is Jotun 1376 FROSTRØYK with light beech floor tile. I'm thinking of painting two-tone color scheme which are 1376 FROSTRØYK on the top and 8281 Pale Linden on the bottom of the walls (1 meter hight from the floor). Please see attached moldboard. Will this two-tone color scheme work well in my bedroom. Will it make the room look smaller? Will they match my grey laminate floor tile and the dark oak door? LADY 1376 Froströk and LADY 8281 Pale Linden often goes well together but you have to test the colours and se how they go with other details lik doors, floors etc.

Dear Annika, Thank you for your kind advice in your earlier response. I have almost completed the interior painting in my house, and I really love the Jotun 1376 in the open space. For my bedroom and guest room, I used the colors 8281 Pale Linden and 1376 Frost Smoke. My office is painted in 7626 Airy Green, and my kitchen features 6253 Sea Mist. The last room to paint is my 5-year-old daughter’s playroom. She loves having many colors in the room, so I painted the accent wall with Jotun 6253 Sea Mist. The opposite wall is painted with Jotun 3255 Pink Veil, and Jotun 5262 is used in between the Sea Mist and Pink Veil, as shown in the attached photo. While I think all these colors are beautiful on their own, I feel that something is missing when they are together. Could you please advise me on how I should adjust the paint colors? Would changing the 3255 Pink Veil to a slightly darker shade improve the overall effect or do you have any other suggestions? Thank you again for your help. Warm regards, Suporn

I think it looks beautiful with the three colours. However, it would look nice if you ad some darker tones, like LADY 6236 Darjeeling, LADY 5489 Free Spirit, LADY 5455 Industrial Blue or LADY 4477 Deco Blue on for ex furniture. Please test the colours before using.

Dear Annika, My kitchen is almost finished with the first round of painting, and I’m really happy with the wall color, Jotun 6253 Sea Mist. I’ve attached some photos for reference. The cabinets on the right side of the photo are currently painted in LADY 10678 Space. I’m considering whether they might look better in a slightly darker shade, such as LADY 12075 Soothing Beige. What do you think? Additionally, we haven’t painted the cabinet doors yet. Would you recommend keeping them the same color as the cabinets, or would a different shade create a better balance? ( the cabinet door frame color is white Aluminum in in S 0500-N 05-A5 as same as window frame). I’ve also attached photos of the open space area, where the walls are painted in LADY 1376 and the bookshelves in LADY 10678 Space—the same color as the kitchen cabinets. Regarding the cabinets, I'm not sure if it is the doors that are painted in LADY 10678 Space or det frames? the doors look a bit yellowish.

Thank you. I would paint the cabinetwall and det doors in the colour. Have a look at LADY 1939 Sandbeige or LADY 12075 Soothing Beige.
Please test the colours before painting. Doors and cabinets are painted with LADY Supreme Finish.
