My home is currently a mixture of different shades of white and other cold tones such a strong gray and soft grays. I bought some beige sofas, and I'd like to repaint my livingroom/ktichen area in a way that feels neutral, but not necessarily monochromatic, that is bright and that it has depth.

I would also like to paint my kitchen cabiners and the fridge/freezer doors. Any recommendations on what type of primers/paint I should buy would be great. Tack tack!

Hi,

I would be happy to help you, but here I would need a bit more information for you to get the best answer from me. What color code (NCS) do you have on your white details such as windows, doors, moldings, and kitchen cabinets if not all these details are to be painted over? It affects what other colors will look good and how you will perceive the final result. The easiest way to find out what white color (if it is white) these details have is to borrow color samples of the most common whites, S0500-N, 0502-Y (without S), and S0502-Y, and compare. Please come back with this, a floor plan, and color codes in adjacent rooms, and I will be happy to help you further.

Thank you so much Annika. Everything wall will be painted, including the window trims and the kitchen cabinet doors. If possible, I also would like to pain the radiators, but I'm not sure if that is allowed in Sweden. So, I'm up for all suggestions. Attached you can find the floor plan. Highlighted in yellow are all the surfaces/walls that will be painted. Is that what you were asking?

Thank you. When coloring an entire home, it is often best to start with colors for the kitchen/living room. After that, it often becomes easier to find beautiful colors for the other rooms. Otherwise, it can easily become overwhelming.

What colour do you have in mind for the cabinets, dark, light, neutral, green, red, blue....?

Thank you! - In general, I want a neutral feel that gives calm and cozy energy. I am inclined to have the kitchen cabinets painted either a soft beige or a soft sage. I also want to pain the doors of the fridge/freezer, but I am not sure if i should paint them the same color as the kitchen cabinets or put a contrastic color. Tack!

Please have a look at LADY 8302 Lagerträd, LADY 7685 Subtle Green or LADY 8478 Pale Green for the cabinets and also the coveringdoors fridge/freezer. Calmer with the same colour.

Walls can be in LADY 1016 Blek Sand, LADY 1376 Froströk or LADY 12314 Grey Touch. Celing, windows, doors and trimmings is painted in LADY 1624 Lätthet.

Test painting on large papers that you can move around to see how the colors look in different places in the room, in different light. Let me know how you find the colours in your light and then we'll continue with the other rooms.

For matte and beautiful walls, use LADY Pure Color, LADY Essence, New LADY Wonderwall, or LADY Balance. Wooden details such as paneling, moldings, windows, doors, frames, kitchen cabinets, and furniture are painted with LADY Supreme Finish. It is available in the gloss grades Pure Matt, Silk Matt, Satin, and Super Gloss. Ceilings are painted with LADY Interior Finish if they are wooden ceilings and with LADY Perfection if they are smooth ceilings.
