Color review and also if mixing bedroom in matt 7 and living/kitchen/hallway in matt 3 or 5 can work?

Hi Team! I’d love a quick sanity check on my color plan for an apartment (~80 m²) with an open plan (hall → living → dining/kitchen). Goal: warm, calm “boutique” feel with high ROI for resale. Ceiling + trim: new doors/trim are factory finished in NCS S 0502-Y, and I plan to paint the ceiling in S 0502-Y for one consistent white. Wall colors (NCS / Jotun equivalents): Open plan (hall/living/kitchen): NCS S 2303-Y14R (Jotun 10679 Washed Linen) Master bedroom: NCS S 2805-Y27R (Jotun 12076 Modern Beige) Small bedroom: NCS S 2005-G70Y (Jotun 8281 Pale Linden) Finish question: Bedrooms already have one coat in matt 7 (gloss 7) and to start the next coat. Is it a good idea to paint the open-plan areas in a flatter finish (matt 5 or matt 3) for a more “hushed” look, or should I keep the same finish throughout? I realised it later may be its better to go with matt 5 or 3 Also, does Washed Linen (S2303-Y14R) work well with S0502-Y ceiling/trim, or is there a risk the overall result becomes too warm/yellow?

Hello, my kitchen cabinets are in NCS S 2005-Y20R, with only one cabinet in walnut matt while the fronts for this cabinet is glass in the same mdf color code and kitchen island with walnut coverpanels. attached is the layout of the apartment

Thank you. When colouring with a neutral base you need the different colours to have the same undertone. LADY 10679 Washed Linen is more greyish than LADY 12076 Modern Beige which is mor redish in its undertone. When you see these two colours at the same time Washed Linen will turn greenish and Modern Beige will turn pinkish. Also, your cabinets have another different undertone.
So, if your kitchen cabinet hav the colour S2005-Y20R please look at LADY 10678 Space for the walls in the kitchen/livingroom. Bedrooms can than be in LADY 1141 Natural Beige and LADY 8281 Pale Linden.
Please test the colours before using.

Thank you so much for this 10/10 advice. It really saved me from making a mistake. But my bedrooms are now already painted in modern beige, what i will do is paint the kitchen/living area in LADY 10678 Space that you recommended. Also had this question about the matt level. My bedrooms are painted in matt 7. but for living/hallway/kitchen i want to get it painted in something between matt 1 - 5. My only worry is if this difference will overall look like a mistake or will look good. Would you recommend me shifting the matt level between these spaces and if yes then what matt level you suggest. Thank you

What level of glare one choses is a matter of tast. However, I think the colours look more beautiful in a matt produkt.
Don't forget to test the colours before painting.
