Hi, We live in a modern villa in the countryside around Göteborg on top of a hill with a forest as background and view over the river. We are repainting the villa and guest house near it this summer. We are thinking to paint the guest house in amber red and the house in Skuggvit with the door and undertak in amber red to match the guest house that is very close. I am unsure if we should have for the guesthouse and/or house another shade for the frame for the corners and frames of the doors and windows. Today the main color is white with a very light grey on the frames and it is quite nice. From a distance the house looks one color (white) but up close it has some details. What colors would you recommend to highlight the frames of the guesthouse? Gyllenrott Tegel? And for the main house, that we want to repaint in skuggvit with the door in amber red, do you have a very light pink to recommend that would match skuggvit and Amber red? Is it even a good idea to mix so many different colours?
Hi
What are the colourcodes of your windows, doors and garagedoor, if there is one?
Hi, The garage is white, basic white, similar to the house today but stands far from the house and somewhat down the hill. Happy to repaint it as well if it makes sense but not high prio.
Trying again to add the picture as it didn’t work with previous comment.
Hi again,
What are the colourcodes of your windows, doors and garagedoor, if there is one? The easiest way to find out is to borrow color samples of the most common whites, S0500-N, 0502-S (without the S) and S0502-Y, and see which one comes closest.
Hi, I am trying again to add a picture of the garage but I don’t really understand why we would need the color codes of the existing colors as when it comes to the house/guest house we are repainting everything, including doors, windows, window frames and the garage is far from the house anyway. We need to order the color by the end of the week :)
Hi again
Ok, perfekt. You wrote "I am unsure if we should have for the guesthouse and/or house another shade for the frame for the corners and frames of the doors and windows." I read this as if you were not to paint your windows.
Usually, I recommend painting all the buildings on the property in the same colors and in the same way to create a calm and cohesive look.
But, if all is to be paint, facade, windows, doors and trimmings and you do want the houses to look different please look at 20118 AMBER RED for the facade on the small house and then choose a slightly mor red white tone for the second house, for ex 1376 FROSTRÖK. 10784 SKUGGVIT will look greenish with red.
Paint all window and trimmings on both houses in the same colour as resp fasade. Door on red house in 1376 FROSTRÖK and door on white house in 20118 AMBER RED.
Test paint on large panels that you can move around and see how the colors are perceived on different sides of the house. Observe from a distance.
Paint the wooden facade, wind panels, knotty boards and lining with DEMIDEKK Infinity or the matt DEMIDEKK Infinity Pure Matt. Windows and doors are painted with DEMIDEKK Infinity Details.

Thank you so so much for your recommendation, skuggvit was indeed really a terrible match with Amber red, very strange to have it as a recommended match on the website. It was very overwhelming to make a choice in those big hardware store, I think without your recommendation we would have given up and just painted white/light grey. We have done large test panels and we love the froströk, it’s really elevating the house and perfect match with Amber Red, which is so beautiful but really wouldn’t have been a match with the standard white either. Really grateful for your patience and advice, we are really looking forward to have these new colours on the houses !
Glad if I can help you. Welcome back for further advice:))
